Picker/Packer

Job Summary:

This position involves meticulously picking items from warehouse inventory and carefully packing them for shipment. Responsibilities:

• Accurately pick products from warehouse locations according to customer orders using RF scanners or pick lists.
• Inspect picked items for any damage or defects before proceeding to packing.
• Securely and appropriately pack orders, selecting the right packaging materials to prevent damage during shipping.
• Apply correct shipping labels and documentation to all packages.
• Stage packed orders in the designated areas for carrier pickup.
• Meet established productivity goals while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Keep the picking and packing stations clean, organized, and well-supplied.
• Adhere to all company safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of PPE .
• Participate in inventory counts and assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
• Contribute to the overall efficiency of the distribution center.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a picking or packing role is advantageous.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and perform manual tasks including moderate Lifting (up to 40 pounds).
• Familiarity with handheld scanners and basic computer operations.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• A strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
