Join our growing logistics team as an Inventory Clerk in Nashville, Tennessee! This role is vital for maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring efficient warehouse operations. The Inventory Clerk will be responsible for cycle counts, stock verification, and reconciling discrepancies. You'll work closely with other warehouse staff to maintain a high level of inventory accuracy, which is critical for fulfilling customer orders accurately and on time. A strong understanding of inventory control principles and warehouse management systems is essential. This position requires a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to upholding safety standards. You will be involved in investigating stock discrepancies, conducting physical inventory counts, and ensuring proper stock rotation. This role involves frequent lifting of inventory items, typically up to 40 pounds, and requires prolonged periods of standing and walking. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Update inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Monitor stock levels and report low stock items.
  • Assist with put-away and replenishment processes to ensure accurate location data.
  • Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) as applicable.
  • Maintain a clean and organized inventory storage area.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper use of PPE.
  • Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members on inventory-related issues.
  • Perform tasks that involve lifting and moving inventory items.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar inventory management role.
  • Proficiency with WMS and inventory control software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including regular lifting up to 40 pounds.
  • Knowledge of warehouse logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Commitment to safety, including understanding and using PPE.
