Picker/Packer

Job Summary:
Are you a detail-oriented individual with a knack for efficiency? Our growing logistics company in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, is looking for a dedicated Picker/Packer to join our warehouse team. This role is central to ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. You will be responsible for accurately picking items from warehouse shelves based on order sheets, inspecting products for quality, and carefully packaging them for shipment. Success in this role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a strong commitment to safety. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment where adherence to proper lifting techniques and the consistent use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are non-negotiable. This position is a fantastic entry point into the broader field of warehouse and distribution operations.
Responsibilities:

• Accurately pick items from inventory according to customer orders.
• Inspect products for damage or defects before packaging.
• Package items securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring proper labeling.
• Verify order accuracy against pick lists.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation and overall warehouse area.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Utilize appropriate lifting techniques to prevent injuries.
• Ensure proper use of all required PPE, including safety glasses and gloves.
• Operate manual and electric pallet jacks as needed.
• Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, picking, or packing role is beneficial.
• Ability to read and understand order forms and product labels.
• Proficiency in basic math for order verification.
• Demonstrated ability to perform tasks involving frequent lifting and standing.
• Understanding of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
• Willingness to wear and use required PPE at all times.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
