Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our operations in Detroit, Michigan. This role is integral to the maintenance and operational efficiency of our warehouse facility. As a Warehouse Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the warehouse equipment, ensuring the safe and proper functioning of our logistics infrastructure, and performing general facility upkeep. Duties may include performing routine maintenance on machinery, troubleshooting equipment issues, assisting with installations, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. A strong understanding of warehouse operations, mechanical aptitude, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential. You will be expected to work independently and as part of a team, adhering to strict safety protocols and using appropriate PPE. This position requires a commitment to preserving a safe and productive work environment. Your expertise will directly contribute to the reliability of our supply chain operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyors, and racking systems.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues within the warehouse.
  • Assist with the installation of new equipment and systems.
  • Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, adhering to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Conduct safety checks and audits of the facility and equipment.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Adhere to all OSHA and company safety regulations.
  • Wear appropriate PPE at all times when working with machinery or in designated areas.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.
  • Support the logistics and operations teams by ensuring equipment availability.
  • Ability to assist with lifting equipment or materials up to 60 lbs when necessary.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in mechanics or electrical systems preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, or similar role.
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics equipment.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
  • Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform manual tasks and lift moderately heavy items.
