Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyors, and racking systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues within the warehouse.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment and systems.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, adhering to manufacturer guidelines.
- Conduct safety checks and audits of the facility and equipment.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Adhere to all OSHA and company safety regulations.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times when working with machinery or in designated areas.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.
- Support the logistics and operations teams by ensuring equipment availability.
- Ability to assist with lifting equipment or materials up to 60 lbs when necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in mechanics or electrical systems preferred.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, or similar role.
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics equipment.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks and lift moderately heavy items.
