Order Picker

Job Summary:
We are seeking an efficient Order Picker to join our growing warehouse team in Huntsville, Alabama. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your attention to detail and speed are crucial for maintaining customer satisfaction and ensuring the smooth functioning of our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret pick lists and order forms to identify correct items and quantities.
• Accurately locate and retrieve products from designated warehouse locations.
• Use hand-held scanning devices to track inventory movement and confirm order accuracy.
• Transport picked items to the packing and shipping stations.
• Operate pallet jacks and other equipment safely to move inventory.
• Report any discrepancies in inventory or damaged items to a supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
• Follow specific order fulfillment procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Wear appropriate PPE, including safety vests and gloves, as required.
• Contribute to overall team performance and company logistics goals.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
• Ability to read and understand product labels and order instructions.
• Proficiency in using RF scanners and other warehouse technology.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods, and lift up to 30 pounds frequently.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all PPE requirements.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
