Order Picker

Job Summary:
Join our logistics team in Huntsville, Alabama, as an Order Picker! Your primary responsibility will be to accurately and efficiently gather items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role demands precision, speed, and a commitment to maintaining inventory integrity. You will play a crucial part in our distribution process, ensuring timely delivery of products and contributing to overall operational success. A focus on Safety is paramount in all tasks performed.
Responsibilities:

• Accurately retrieve products from specified locations within the warehouse using pick lists or scanning devices.
• Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
• Inspect picked items for any damage or defects before they are packed.
• Organize picked items for efficient packing and staging.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks safely.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles are clear and accessible.
• Participate in inventory control activities, including cycle counts.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on Safety guidelines.
• Wear and use all mandated PPE , such as safety shoes and gloves.
• Assist with other warehouse duties as needed to support overall operations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in an order picking or warehouse role is beneficial.
• Ability to read and understand pick lists, labels, and instructions.
• Proficiency with handheld scanners and basic computer skills.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods.
• Capability for Lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Familiarity with Logistics principles and warehouse operations is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Awareness of and adherence to all relevant Safety protocols.
