Picker/Packer

Job Summary:
We are looking for an energetic Picker/Packer to join our logistics team in Huntsville, Alabama. This role is crucial for ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently processed. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for locating items within the warehouse, accurately picking them for orders, and preparing them for shipment. This involves meticulous attention to detail, adherence to packing standards, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will be physically active, possess good hand-eye coordination, and be able to work at a steady pace. Responsibilities:

• Accurately pick items for customer orders using scanning devices or pick lists.
• Verify picked items against order documentation to ensure accuracy.
• Pack items securely and efficiently, meeting company standards.
• Prepare packages for shipment, including labeling and staging.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation and surrounding area, following all Safety regulations.
• Report any discrepancies or damages to supervisors immediately.
• Consistent use of appropriate PPE is required.
• Follow all designated Lifting procedures to ensure safety.
• Support the overall Logistics Safety program through diligent work practices.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in picking, packing, or a similar warehouse role is an advantage.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be capable of frequent Lifting of up to 35 lbs.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of warehouse Safety practices.
