Responsibilities:
- Read pick lists or scan order information to accurately locate and retrieve items from warehouse shelves.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Inspect items for any defects or damage before packaging.
- Package products securely and appropriately using various packing materials.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare orders for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and surrounding area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of provided PPE .
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as cycle counts, as needed.
- Contribute to overall team productivity and efficiency in the shipping department.
- Support other warehouse functions as necessary, including some manual lifting .
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the warehouse for extended periods.
- Capability of lifting and moving packages weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in selecting and packing orders.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics .
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety guidelines and wearing required PPE .
