Responsibilities:
- Accurately generate and process all necessary shipping documents, including bills of lading, manifests, and customs declarations.
- Verify the contents of outgoing shipments against order records to ensure accuracy.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with various freight carriers, managing logistics efficiently.
- Inspect packages to confirm proper sealing, labeling, and adherence to carrier guidelines.
- Maintain precise records of all shipments, updating the Warehouse Management System (WMS) promptly.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external carriers regarding shipment status and any issues.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and company Safety protocols.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Strictly adhere to all Safety standards and utilize required PPE at all times.
- Perform tasks that may involve moderate Lifting of packages, typically up to 30 lbs.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related shipping/logistics role is required.
- Proficiency with shipping software, carrier portals, and WMS is essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of shipping documentation and regulations.
- Dedication to maintaining a high level of Safety.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications are beneficial.
