This critical role involves ensuring that all outgoing orders are accurately processed, packed, and dispatched efficiently and safely. You will be responsible for preparing shipments, coordinating with carriers, maintaining shipping records, and ensuring that our customers receive their orders on time and in excellent condition. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment according to established procedures.
- Verify order details against shipping manifests and ensure accuracy before dispatch.
- Operate shipping software to generate labels, track shipments, and manage carrier pickups.
- Coordinate with various shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, LTL) to schedule pickups and manage outgoing freight.
- Inspect outgoing packages for damage and ensure proper packaging standards are met.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation, ensuring all shipments are accounted for.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area, adhering to all Safety regulations.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) throughout all shipping activities.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts as needed.
- Collaborate with warehouse and customer service teams to resolve shipping-related issues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a shipping, warehouse, or logistics role is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with shipping software and carrier portals.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems (IMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Ability to perform tasks involving moderate physical exertion, including Lifting boxes up to 50 lbs, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to all Safety protocols.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Dependability and punctuality are essential.
