Lead Customer Service Specialist

The Lead Customer Service Specialist manages a team of 10‑20 Customer Service Specialists, overseeing daily tasks related to customer communication and easement acquisition. The role requires interpreting engineering plans, coordinating with internal departments and external customers, and ensuring accurate documentation and reporting. Responsibilities

Oversee all customer service functions and project work for the assigned team. Ensure all documents (easements, JBs, etc.) are obtained and completed accurately. Handle customer escalations. Participate in customer (FPL) update meetings. Track employee hours and submit them in a timely manner. Report work completed (contract units) for each employee. Train new hires on project procedures and best practices. Assign new jobs and manage workload among team members. Maintain ongoing communication with internal teams, FPL, and property owners throughout all stages of the project. Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent, or an associate’s degree. Minimum of two (2) years of customer service experience, preferably in construction or a project environment. Preferred Qualifications

Expert ability to project a professional image and provide excellent customer service. Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills. Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines while managing internal and external customer expectations. Physical Demands and Work Environment

This job operates primarily in a professional office setting and requires standard office equipment (computers, phones, copiers, scanners). The role consists mainly of sedentary work with occasional filing and lifting (up to 20 pounds).
