Base pay range $90,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr
Position Summary Join Walmart’s innovative engineering team as a Senior Software Engineer, where you’ll drive the development of next-generation Smart TV software. This is your opportunity to work on cutting‑edge embedded systems, shape the future of home entertainment, and make a direct impact on millions of customers worldwide.
What You’ll Do
Design, develop, and test embedded software for Smart TV platforms
Integrate and optimize video control and processing features across device layers
Ensure high quality and performance for diverse video streams and codecs
Develop unit and system‑level tests using BDD frameworks
Mentor and train junior engineers
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
7+ years of embedded software development experience
Expertise in C/C++ (C++17+) and Linux/RTOS‑based systems
Strong analytical, documentation, and cross‑functional collaboration skills
Experience with video/audio processing, HAL, and BDD frameworks is a plus

Minimum Qualifications:
Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
Option 2: 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year's experience in software engineering or related area.
