Requirements:
10+ years of public works construction experience including significant work on wastewater treatment plant projects.
Position Overview The Superintendent – Public Works is responsible for overseeing the construction, maintenance, and operation of public infrastructure including water, wastewater, and treatment plants. This position ensures that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and supervise daily operations of public works projects related to water, wastewater, and treatment plants.
Plan and coordinate construction activities, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
Oversee maintenance and repair activities for sewer systems and other public infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding public works operations.
Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective project execution.
Prepare reports and documentation related to project status, budgets, and compliance.
Monitor and manage staff performance, providing training and development opportunities.
Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of experience in public works management or a related role.
Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes and regulations.
Experience in construction management and project oversight.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
