Halmar International
Position is responsible for supporting the development of proposals, preparation of bid estimates, schedules, and methods. The position will also interface local subcontractors and vendors as part of the project pursuits. This position will have the opportunity to transition to Project Assignments as Sr. Project Engineer where they will be responsible for the day-to-day responsibilities related to project engineering for large alternative delivery projects in the region.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare preliminary cost estimates/budgets/schedules.
Prepare accurate quantity surveys/take-offs
Solicit bid information from subs/partners/suppliers.
Distribute and manage bid plans.
Prepare pricing pages for bids.
Ensure Bid documents are up to date.
Delivery of bids, proposals, and prequalification’s to Owners
Manage WBE, DBE, SBE, and/or MBE goals during bid process.
Lead detailed reviews of subcontractor’s scope and price prior to award.
Maintain excellent relationship with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve best pricing, delivery, and quality.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
7+ years’ experience in Estimating
P.E. license preferred.
Must know software such as HCSS, HeavyBid, PlanSoft and other tools.
