Daily tasks include:
Knowledge of the theories, principles and practices of transportation planning and oversight; knowledge of and the ability to apply private and public sector best practices for process improvement and performance measurement.
Support complex rail initiatives by analyzing data, creating plans, tracking progress, and ensuring projects meet goals.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field. Work Experience
One (1) year of progressively responsible experience in the purchasing/contracting area. Experience with: Microsoft Office 365 – Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Communication Tool: Slack or Teams. About this position – Standard hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a one (1) hour unpaid lunch break. However, the COTR may request temporary services for periods in excess of a seven and one half (7.5) hour day or a thirty-seven and one-half hour (37.5) hour week. Temporary personnel working six (6) hours or more are required to take a one-half hour unpaid lunch break. Overtime: Hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours in one week is considered as overtime work, all overtime must be approved by the COTR in advance.
