Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs forms.
- Verify shipping information for accuracy and completeness.
- Schedule and coordinate pick-ups with various shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, LTL, etc.).
- Ensure that all shipments are properly packaged, labeled, and secured according to carrier regulations and company standards.
- Track shipments and provide updates to internal stakeholders and customers as needed.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, carriers, and customer service representatives.
- Operate shipping software and systems efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including the proper use of required PPE.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including some lifting and material handling.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role.
- Proficiency in shipping software and online carrier platforms.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with shipping regulations and documentation.
- Ability to perform some lifting of packages, up to 30 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
