Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading and customs forms.
- Verify order accuracy and ensure all items are correctly packed and labeled for shipment.
- Schedule and coordinate with shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, LTL).
- Track shipments and provide status updates to relevant parties.
- Inspect outgoing packages to ensure they meet shipping standards and carrier requirements.
- Maintain an organized shipping area and ensure inventory is properly staged.
- Operate shipping equipment such as pallet jacks and shrink wrap machines.
- Communicate with internal departments and external partners regarding shipping matters.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques.
- Ensure the correct use of PPE in designated areas.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier portals.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and order verification.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and wear required PPE.
