Shipping Clerk

Job Summary:
We are searching for a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic team in Madison, Wisconsin. This role is central to our **Logistics** operations, ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and compliantly. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documentation, verifying order details, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring packages are ready for dispatch. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process shipping labels, bills of lading, and other shipping documents.
• Verify the accuracy of outgoing orders against packing slips and customer information.
• Coordinate with shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS, LTL freight) to schedule pickups and track shipments.
• Ensure all packages are correctly packaged, labeled, and sorted for shipment.
• Maintain accurate shipping records and update tracking information in the system.
• Communicate with internal departments and external partners regarding shipment status.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for any damage or discrepancies.
• Adhere to all **Safety** regulations and company policies, including the proper use of **PPE**.
• Assist with **Lifting** and moving packages as needed, following **Safety** guidelines.
• Contribute to the overall efficiency of the **Logistics** department by maintaining an organized workspace.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar administrative/warehouse role is required.
• Proficiency in using shipping software and common office applications.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and verification.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with shipping **Logistics** and carrier requirements.
• Ability to perform light **Lifting** and physical tasks as needed.
• Understanding of workplace **Safety** protocols and the importance of **PPE**.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
