Outside Sales Representative- Valves & Automation

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to expand our valve and automation solutions within the Greater Boston area and surrounding markets.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities with power plants, universities, colleges, engineering firms, and industrial clients.

Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers, partners, and industry influencers.

Serve as a technical resource by delivering presentations product demonstrations, and technical support tailored to customer needs.

Review specifications, P&IDs, and bid documents to recommend suitable solutions and support valve sizing and application engineering.

Conduct regular on-site visits to customer facilities and project sites, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.

Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and professional associations to enhance brand visibility and network with industry professionals.

Requirements

3–5+ years of outside sales experience in industrial products such as valves, automation, instrumentation, or related mechanical/electrical systems.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Sales, Business, or a related field is preferred.

Strong technical aptitude with flow control, actuation, or similar industrial equipment.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and process documentation.

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel approximately 50% within the territory.
