Description Part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP), this role focuses on owning the end‑to‑end go‑to‑market strategy for technology domains, delivering business and technical expertise to help customers succeed. Partner teams manage the strategy, recruitment, development, and growth of key technology and consulting partners, providing customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for complex challenges.
About the role We seek a passionate technologist who combines deep technical expertise with business acumen and excellent interpersonal skills to join our team of solutions architects working with business applications software vendors within the AWS Partner Network. This includes partners that provide solutions across sales, marketing, operations, human resources, legal, customer experience, and other business functions. The goal is to help these partners build, go‑to‑market, and sell solutions leveraging AWS programs and capabilities across cloud and AI services. The role requires a self‑driven individual who thrives on continuous learning and working with the latest technologies to produce impactful results for customers.
Responsibilities
Develop technology strategy and build senior‑level relationships with business applications partners in the AWS Partner Network.
Leverage deep expertise in business applications and customer experience to influence senior business leadership at partners.
Use technical cloud and AI expertise to guide partners in developing joint solutions through substantive architectural discussions.
Create prototypes and demonstrations that showcase AWS services functionality.
Serve as a subject matter expert on business applications, enabling field and technical teams to advise customers on adopting partner solutions that run on AWS.
Work with partners to deeply understand their business and technical needs; develop solutions that utilize AWS AI and cloud capabilities.
Provide architectural guidance and recommendations on building applications efficiently and reliably on AWS.
Influence solution providers in their strategy development to enable presenting offerings on AWS.
Develop technical content such as video, white papers, and reference architectures for customers and partners.
Capture and share best practices with the broader Solution Architect community.
Share customer feedback with product management and engineering teams to drive future AWS cloud directions.
Scope each customer engagement with clear objectives and success criteria.
Collaborate with AWS field sales, training, and support teams to ensure partner success.
Ideal Candidate
Inclination to get hands‑on with diverse technologies to deepen understanding and create working concepts.
Strong customer‑facing skills that allow representing AWS well with partners and customers.
Ability to drive productive discussions with senior business and technical personnel.
Broad and deep technical background that bolsters credibility when offering guidance to engineers and architects.
Experience as a thought leader who captures the attention of decision‑makers through channels such as written publications, video, social media, and speaking engagements at industry conferences.
Strategic thinking across business, product, and technical domains.
Basic Qualifications
8+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics.
3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience architecting or operating solutions built on AWS.
AWS certification (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect) or a similar cloud certification.
Experience supporting ISV partners and programs.
Demonstrated experience developing enterprise application architectures to meet complex business requirements.
Understanding of security, risk and compliance frameworks, disaster recovery, high availability architectures, hardware, operating systems, and networking connectivity.
Large‑scale systems integration involving on‑premises technology and the public cloud.
Travel 30% travel required.
Compensation The base pay ranges from $138,200 to $239,000 per year, depending on geographic market. Compensation may include equity, sign‑on payments, and other benefits. For details, visit the Amazon benefits page.
