Consulting Member of the Technical Staff – Oracle Join Oracle as a senior member of the database software engineering team, leading the design, development, and operation of advanced features across cloud-native, highly available distributed systems, the database core engine, operating systems, and storage subsystems.

Job Description We are looking for professionals with a deep technical knowledge on database core internals and systems design, who can develop large production-quality code in C++/C in multi‑threaded environments. You will work on next‑generation large‑scale distributed systems optimized for the cloud, solving challenges in distributed systems, storage infrastructure, transaction processing, and highly available services.

Responsibilities

Lead, innovate, influence, design, develop, and operate advanced features across distributed systems and database core.

Define detailed design specifications for significant new projects and guide teams through development and debugging.

Collaborate across functional boundaries in a fast‑paced agile development environment.

Desired Skills and Experience

PhD or Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical & Computer Engineering.

10+ years of professional experience in database or systems engineering.

Deep knowledge of database core internals, query processing, transaction processing, and operating system kernels.

Proficiency in C++/C multi‑threaded development and advanced data structures & algorithms.

Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Aurora, Horizon DB, or Alloy DB is a plus.

Experience building and operating large‑scale, cloud‑native products.

Excellent interpersonal, writing, and presentation skills.

Qualifications Experience with distributed systems protocols, cloud computing, machine learning, and computer architecture.

Compensation US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 – $251,600 per year. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
