Primary Purpose The Principal Quantitative Analyst will design and develop data models and conduct data analysis to support the creation and advancement of high‑impact policy solutions. The candidate will collaborate directly with internal and external stakeholders, combining expertise in data modeling, analytics, and policy development.
Primary Duties
Support the development of organizational strategic policies through technical knowledge of predictive analytics, statistics, and modelling techniques.
Participate in industry activities including working groups or task forces.
Lead cross‑organizational projects and prepare periodic and ad‑hoc status reports.
Partner with stakeholder analytics teams across PHI and the Enterprise to gather feedback on models and systems.
Leverage knowledge of predictive analytics, statistics, modelling techniques and simulation approaches to develop valuation, risk management, and pricing models.
Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to less experienced technical analysts on the team and within the organization.
Minimum Education Required High School/GED
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or, in lieu of a Bachelor’s, 9–12 years of relevant business experience.
8–10 years of relevant experience in quantitative analysis.
Thorough understanding of applied and financial mathematics concepts and advanced statistical techniques.
Proficiency in a broad range of development languages (e.g., C/C++, Python, Perl, MATLAB, etc.) and database query languages.
Rapid mastery of industry fundamentals such as energy commodity markets, portfolio valuation, and system dynamics.
Self‑driven with the ability to work individually and lead teams of varying sizes.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field.
Energy industry experience.
Experience developing quantitative models to support strategic policy development.

Annual salary: $112,000 – $154,000 per year.
Annual bonus eligibility: 20%.
