The Opportunity Join our dynamic Business Performance team as an Organization and Workforce Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in optimizing workforce, talent, and mobility strategies. You will be instrumental in future‑proofing our operations through the design, development, and influence on operating models and continuous change. As a trusted advisor, you will develop and implement workforce strategies that align with business and functional strategy to meet business objectives. Your expertise will be crucial in understanding workforce requirements to design organizations at the operating model and organization design level to achieve strategic intent.
Key Responsibilities
Lead large‑scale organizational design projects and advise stakeholders while building relationships with colleagues and clients.
Work collaboratively to deliver innovative and insightful solutions for a range of challenges, from how to best structure teams to deliver on the organization’s strategy to how the organization’s structure can allow for more agile ways of working.
Skills and Attributes for Success
Lead project workstreams, from planning through implementation – including managing project resources and budgets effectively, identifying and mitigating risks and issues.
Proficiency in organizational design, strategic workforce planning and change management as integral components of transformational initiatives.
Understand opportunities and risks associated with acquisitions, divestitures, mergers and the organizational design implications.
Demonstrate technical competence in key capabilities and take a practical/business‑driven approach to solving complex client challenges.
Generate profitable revenue by identifying additional engagement opportunities and building lasting relationships with clients.
Influence and persuade clients and stakeholders to gain support for major change initiatives and/or decisions.
Foster collaboration and an inclusive working environment.
Knowledge of human resources opportunities, challenges and issues in at least one of the sectors served (e.g., Oil & Gas, Health, Telecommunications, Power & Utilities, Insurance, Media & Entertainment).
Contribute to business development and client pursuit activities by preparing proposals and delivering presentations.
Passionate about advancing the PAS practice by leading the development of thought leadership, EY approaches, tools and methodologies in organization design.
Coach and develop teams and colleagues, acting as a visible role model.
Qualifications
Relevant professional service experience, preferably in a global management consultancy or niche consultancy with exposure to large‑scale projects.
6‑9 years of experience in Operating Model Development, Organizational Structure and Design, Strategic Workforce Planning, Capability Mapping, Organizational Assessment, and Organizational Governance.
Experience leading org. design engagements in functional domains such as supply chain, IT, finance, customer, sales & marketing, working in large multidisciplinary teams.
Proven track record in managing and analyzing large datasets and using analytics in project execution.
Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, psychology or related field.
Willingness to travel and comfortable working in a hybrid environment (approx. three days per week at a client site or EY office).
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range: $125,900–$231,100 (US). Adjusted for major metros: $151,200–$262,600.
Comprehensive benefits: medical & dental coverage, pension and 401(k), paid time off.
Hybrid model: 40‑60% in‑person work expected.
