Description

AWS is looking for Specialist Solutions Architects (SSAs). As part of the sales organization, SSAs work with customers who have complex challenges that require expert‑level knowledge to solve. They craft scalable, flexible, and resilient technical architectures that address those challenges, guiding customers as they refactor an application or design entirely new cloud‑based systems. This role is designed for those who enjoy solving novel and unique technical challenges for customers.

The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) drives revenue and adoption from the largest and fastest growing small‑ and mid‑market accounts to enterprise‑level and public‑sector customers. As part of WWSO, you will provide expertise across the entire lifecycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating adoption of established businesses. Your work will help shape and execute a strategy to build mind share and broad use of AWS within organizations ranging from new start‑ups to large enterprises.

You will serve as a subject‑matter expert for helping customers leverage AWS managed services such as Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka (MSK), Amazon Kinesis Data Streams, Amazon Data Firehose, and Amazon Managed Service for Apache Flink, as well as self‑managed Apache Kafka and Apache Flink on AWS, to meet their data management needs.

Provide advanced technical knowledge to domain‑aligned GTM teams to unblock customers’ largest and most critical challenges.

Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public speaking events.

Partner with Business Development teams to define the technical components of best‑in‑class GTM concepts, solutions, and initiatives.

Develop and support an internal AWS community of technical subject‑matter experts worldwide.

Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population to help them integrate AWS solutions into customer architectures.

Experience working within software development or Internet‑related industries.

Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.

Experience working with AWS technologies from a DevOps perspective.
