Key Responsibilities
Represent insured individuals and the Company in bodily injury and property damage lawsuits, subrogation, and Allstate Financial cases.
Prepare and conduct hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
Prepare and present pre‑ and post‑trial motions.
Assist colleagues in resolving calendar conflicts.
Offer counsel to business clients on day‑to‑day legal matters.
Manage projects efficiently, fostering coordination among legal teams.
Stay abreast of new laws, regulations, and case law; identify and summarize relevant issues; provide proactive advice to business units.
Education
Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the Florida State Bar.
Minimum Requirements
3+ years of proven litigation experience or strong litigation‑type skills.
First or second chair jury trial experience preferred.
Proven experience with insurance defense preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, LexisNexis (preferred), and internet research.
Strong teamwork skills, able to collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative assistants under Lead Counsel guidance.
Capacity to manage a substantial case load.
Comfortable working in a remote environment and able to commute within the greater Jacksonville, FL area.
