Electronic Records Archivist Job ID: 053103. Location: Juneau, AK. Salary: $2,778 biweekly.

Job Description This position is open to Alaskan Residents only. Shape Alaska’s Digital History. Help build the future of the Alaska State Electronic Records Archives (ASERA) and preserve and make discoverable 45+ terabytes of electronic records.

What You Will Be Doing

Preserve at scale: Appraise, arrange, describe, and safeguard a growing corpus of born-digital records.

Standardize and optimize: Establish and implement metadata standards; refine end-to-end workflows for long-term digital preservation.

Collaborate across LAM: Work closely with Records Analysts, archivists, and state-documents librarians.

Serve Alaskans: Provide responsive reference and outreach services to government officials, historians, academic researchers, and the public.

Who We Are Looking For

Attention to Detail: Thorough and conscientious.

Communications and Media: Knowledge of production, communication and dissemination of information via written, oral, and visual media and social media.

Computer Forensics: Knowledge of tools and techniques used in data recovery and preservation of electronic evidence.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in any major and two years of entry-level archival work experience. OR Master’s degree in a related field and one year of entry-level archival work experience.
