Join our company as our

Director of Process Engineering!

In this strategic R&D leadership role, you’ll drive process innovation, lead new product introductions, and optimize manufacturing technologies to accelerate speed to market and deliver cost, quality, and efficiency improvements. Role is ideally based out of Hopkins, MN but will give consideration to the right remote‑based candidate. You’d report to our Vice President of Process Engineering and would need to be comfortable with ~30% travel.

What You Will Do:

Lead process technology development and roadmap strategy

Oversee process design and implementation for new and existing products

Partner cross-functionally to prioritize resources and deliver projects on time and budget

Mentor and develop a team of engineers

Apply advanced problem‑solving methods (DOE, Six Sigma) to improve processes

What You Will Bring:

BS in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (Master’s preferred)

10+ years of experience in process development, with 3+ years in a leadership role

Expertise in food manufacturing platforms and process design

Strong communication and leadership skills

Comfort with ~30% travel

What We Offer: The base salary range for this position is $117,750 to $196,250 annually with eligibility for a 25% annual incentive bonus that is based on organizational performance. The pay range represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to education, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Qualifications Education: Bachelors (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering or closely related. Masters Degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in those fields also acceptable.

Years of Related Experience: 10+ years related experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Working knowledge process development flow and product development flow from conception to product launch; working knowledge of Research and Development; able to communicate and present technical ideas and solutions and write technical reports, project proposal and department plans; ability to develop Process Flow Diagram (PFD); ability to perform cycle time study; ability to perform pay-back calculation; working experience in establishing PLC control set-up; working experience in reading ladder logic; advanced PC skills including Windows environment, word processing, CAD program, and spreadsheet; ability to produce conceptual drawing with a CAD program; ability to write preliminary capital proposals; ability to develop instrument specification with ISA (Instrument Society of America) format or equivalent; ability to perform sizing and specification of equipment; working experience in reading electrical schematic drawing; working experience in reading ladder logic; demonstrated ability to develop and work with budgets and develop project schedules; ability to taste and ingest any type of food product currently under development.
