Senior Systems Administrator – Inside Higher Ed Overview
Manage Oracle Red Hat Linux and Oracle Cloud Interface servers in a higher‑education environment. Optimize performance, enhance security, and ensure reliability of critical systems. Responsibilities
Administer and maintain Oracle Red Hat Linux servers. Configure, deploy, and tune Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services. Apply patches, updates, and performance monitoring in Linux environments. Monitor system performance and implement optimization techniques. Manage backup and recovery solutions. Apply security configurations, including SSO and automated file transfer. Qualifications
5+ years of systems administration experience with Oracle Red Hat Linux and OCI servers. Proven experience deploying cloud‑based solutions within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Proficiency in bash scripting. Experience with OCI compute, storage, networking, and security services. Knowledge of backup, recovery, and performance monitoring tools. Familiarity with applying patches in PeopleSoft and Oracle Fusion environments. Experience managing technical projects and working with external contractors. Commitment to Diversity
