Work Shift: Day 10 hours
Job Description Applies nursing process and theories, as well as principles of psycho-social and physical sciences, in assessing, planning, diagnosing, implementing, evaluating, and modifying patient care. Strives for quality outcomes and innovative practice in accordance with the California Nursing Practice Act and the Hospital/departmental policies. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self (or others who are under her/his direction) and for the delivery of care consistent with the ANA Code of Ethics and the ANA Bill of Rights for Nursing. The Clinical Nurse provides care in a collaborative manner with other disciplines to ensure optimal, individualized patient care and outcomes. All aspects of the Clinical Nurse’s performance support service excellence and a healing environment.
Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
Experience:
1 year recent clinical nursing experience in area of specialty; recent experience in oncology nursing and recent chemotherapy administration.
License/Certifications:
Registered Nurse License - California Board of Registered Nursing; Basic Life Support - American Heart Association.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:
Ability to communicate in English and to perform potentially complex speaking, reading, writing, and mathematics. Ability to organize, prioritize and delegate appropriately.
Ages of Patients Served:
One year of age or greater.
Salary Range $89.40 - $116.78 USD hourly.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Medium Work - requires standing for the majority of the shift with the ability to lift up to 35 lbs. Frequently involves sitting, kneeling, climbing and squatting. Reasonable accommodations will be provided for qualified individuals with a disability, unless undue hardship or direct threat.
