Day – 12 hours (biweekly)

Job Description Applies nursing process and theories, as well as principles of psycho-social and physical sciences, in assessing, planning, diagnosing, implementing, evaluating, and modifying patient care. Strives for quality outcomes and innovative practice in accordance with the California Nursing Practice Act and the Hospital/departmental policies. Accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self (or others under direction) and for care consistent with the ANA Code of Ethics and the ANA Bill of Rights. Provides collaborative care with other disciplines to ensure optimal, individualized patient care and outcomes, supporting service excellence and a healing environment.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Recent clinical nursing experience in the specialty area (Level II Nursery-LG).

Registered Nurse License – California Board of Registered Nursing.

Basic Life Support – American Heart Association.

Neonatal Resuscitation Program – American Academy of Pediatrics.

Ability to communicate in English and perform complex speaking, reading, writing, and mathematics.

Ability to organize, prioritize, and delegate appropriately.

Serves all age groups one year of age or greater.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Medium work. Requires standing the majority of the shift, lifting up to 35 lbs. frequently, and performing sitting, kneeling, climbing, and squatting.
