The Procurement team partners closely with the business to enable smart, fast, and compliant investments—ensuring teams have what they need to move quickly while maintaining strong financial and operational discipline.
We are seeking an experienced Marketing Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Buyer to support one of the fastest-moving functions. This is a high-volume, high-velocity role responsible for managing a large pipeline of purchase requests and contracts across marketing, advertising, media, production, communications, and events. You will act as a true extension of the Marketing organization—negotiating on their behalf, removing friction, and enabling teams to execute at speed. Success in this role requires exceptional efficiency, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to juggle many deals at once without dropping the ball. This role partners daily with Marketing, Legal, and Finance to move deals from intake to signature to PO creation—often under tight timelines and shifting priorities.
Location: San Francisco, CA (hybrid: 3 days in office). Fully remote may be considered for exceptional candidates.
Responsibilities
Manage a high volume of purchase requests and contracts across marketing, advertising, media, production, communications, and events—often simultaneously.
Serve as an embedded partner to Marketing, translating business needs into executable contracting and procurement workflows.
Negotiate commercial and contractual terms quickly and effectively on behalf of Marketing, balancing speed, risk, and value.
Lead end-to-end procurement execution including intake, sourcing, contracting, onboarding, and PO creation.
Work hand-in-hand with Legal and Finance to remove obstacles, streamline approvals, and accelerate deal velocity.
Read, understand, and apply contract language using established playbooks to fast-track agreements in a high-throughput environment.
Own and manage contracting workflows in Zip and Ironclad, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and speed.
Support major global campaigns, launches, and events by ensuring vendors are contracted and enabled on time.
Identify opportunities for cost optimization and deal structuring without slowing down execution.
Provide clear, actionable insights to stakeholders on spend, contract structure, and tradeoffs to enable fast decision-making.
Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
8+ years of procurement and sourcing experience.
4+ years supporting marketing, advertising, media, communications, demand generation, sponsorships, or events within a major consumer or B2B organization.
Strong experience negotiating marketing and production-related agreements.
Proven ability to operate in high-volume procurement environments.
Proficiency with Zip and Ironclad (or comparable tools).
Strong contract literacy and familiarity with procurement best practices.
Experience working closely with Legal and Finance partners.
Comfort using modern tools, including ChatGPT, to drive efficiency and insight.
Strong negotiation and cross-functional stakeholder management skills, with a track record of securing high-value, favorable agreements.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and appetite for continuous process improvement in marketing procurement.
A passion for technology and enthusiasm for supporting the launch of cutting-edge AI products through strategic procurement excellence.
Compensation: $95 - $125 per hour
