Overview WAB2G connects and heals women and girls affected by homicide and incarceration to prevent the cycles of violence and victimization. WAB2G achieves our goals through several strategies including but not limited to direct service, advocacy, public education, and community organizing.
The Case Manager & Outreach Coordinator at We Are Better Together (WAB2G) connects and supports women and girls impacted by homicide and incarceration to break cycles of violence and victimization. Reporting to the Case Manager Supervisor, this team member uses lived experience and trauma-informed wisdom to manage recruitment, retention, and service connection with women and girls impacted by community harm and incarceration.
Responsibilities Case Management & Direct Service
Meet 1:1 with clients using a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach.
Conduct client intakes and assessments to identify needs and develop individualized service and referral plans.
Facilitate referrals and conduct consistent follow-ups with community partners to ensure comprehensive care.
Co-facilitate support groups and community meetings.
Outreach & Community Engagement
Perform on-site canvassing following incidents of violence to engage and support residents in a nonjudgmental manner.
Represent WAB2G at city partner events and community gatherings through tabling and public presentations.
Actively identify and connect women and girls affected by homicide and incarceration to WAB2G services.
Administration
Manage data entry and generate detailed reports regarding outreach and case management activities.
Participate in regular staff and partner meetings to align services and strategies.
Strong organizational, public speaking, and presentation skills.
Ability to work with residents impacted by violence in a nonjudgmental, trauma-informed way.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Google Workspace (Email, Drive), and Zoom.
Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
Experience & Education
2+ years’ experience working in the field OR Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in social work, nonprofit management, public health, public policy, or related field.
Applicants must demonstrate prior experience working with families in alignment with the WAB2G mission, particularly those impacted by community harm, incarceration, or multiple forms of trauma.
