Job Overview
The Corporate Director of Operations Finance serves as a strategic partner to the VP of Operations Finance and the Sage Restaurant Concepts (SRC) leadership team. This role leads FP&A, operational analytics, financial strategy, and margin optimization across all SRC properties. The Director is responsible for delivering proactive financial leadership, developing high‑impact reporting and forecasting tools, and ensuring maximum returns for owners, partners, and stakeholders. Responsibilities
Strategic & FP&A Leadership
Lead all FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting, long‑range planning, scenario modeling, and business‑case development. Analyze operational performance and financial trends to identify risks and margin‑improvement opportunities. Partner with culinary and beverage leaders on cost‑saving initiatives. Provide ROI analysis for capital projects and new openings. Support annual budget development and ownership presentations. Participate in strategic planning and enterprise initiatives. Financial Oversight
Monitor financial results across all SRC properties and provide recommendations. Ensure strong internal controls and policy compliance. Review and interpret financial statements and communicate variances proactively. Understand ownership agreements and ensure obligations are met. Support transitions, conversions, and new openings with financial planning and systems work. Operational Support & Analytics
Deliver analytics to support decisions around pricing, labor, menu strategy, food cost, and efficiencies. Standardize financial processes and reporting structure. Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, and analytical tools. Identify performance gaps, risks, and inefficiencies; propose corrective actions. Owner & Stakeholder Communication
Serve as a financial liaison to ownership groups. Present property and portfolio financial analyses to owners and executives. Ensure compliance with obligations under ownership and management agreements. Cost Leadership & Margin Optimization
Own performance for labor, COGS, and operating expenses. Oversee recipe validation, inventory controls, and cost‑management programs. Conduct financial deep dives identifying overspend drivers and cost‑reduction opportunities. Executive Communication
Develop polished, executive‑ready presentations. Communicate complex financial insights concisely to senior leadership and owners. Systems & Reporting Infrastructure
Lead improvement of financial systems, reporting, and analytics. Support the implementation of new technology and integrations. Build scalable financial structures supporting growth. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Hospitality preferred. 5+ years progressive hospitality or restaurant finance experience. Strong FP&A background with demonstrated influence at senior levels. Expertise in financial statements, contracts, and operational KPIs. Strong modeling, Excel, BI/reporting skills (Craftable, Avero, PowerBI, etc.). Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Physical Demands
Travel up to 50%. Extended computer work. Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs. Work Environment
