The heart of Prellis Bio’ s strategy is the combination of novel, cutting‑edge methods in machine learning, biology at scale, and next‑gen antibody discovery that address long‑standing industry‑wide problems in the drug development pipeline. Prellis Biologics uses proprietary technology to 3D print human lymph node organoids, enabling the rapid and diverse discovery of human antibody therapeutic candidates for a range of applications. Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated
Senior/Principal Scientist – Next Generation Sequencing (NGS)
to drive our biotherapeutic discovery efforts and technological advancements. This pivotal role involves:
Implementing cutting‑edge NGS and molecular techniques for rapid discovery of novo antibody candidates.
Driving strategic innovation by shaping the future of our discovery platforms.
Collaborating across functions and providing effective leadership and mentorship within the NGS team.
Responsibilities
Lead the strategic planning and execution of NGS‑enabled discovery campaigns.
Drive capability building and technology innovation (e.g., CITE‑Seq, automation).
Partner with the bioinformatician to ensure effective dissemination of experimental results, driving data‑informed decision‑making.
Collaborate with Data Science team to establish robust data pipelines and support AI/ML projects.
Leverage cross‑functional collaboration to accelerate lead identification.
Empower team members through mentorship to achieve measurable capability improvement.
Qualifications
Ph.D. and relevant postdoctoral experience in Molecular Biology and Immunology, and 3+ years (Senior Scientist) or 5+ years (Principal Scientist) of relevant experience with expanding scientific capabilities and professional development.
Demonstrated experience in leading high‑performing teams (2–3 people).
Broad knowledge in therapeutic antibody discovery pipeline with hands‑on experience in antibody sequencing technologies (e.g., single B cells, bulk BCR repertoire, 10xGenomics).
Deep knowledge in antibody repertoire biology and sequence attributes.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills in a collaborative environment.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to drive multiple projects.
Demonstrated experience in collaborating across various scientific disciplines in a dynamic environment.
Bonus Experience
Familiarity with automated liquid handlers or high‑throughput molecular biology workflows.
Working knowledge in display‑based discovery techniques.
Keen interest in AI/ML driven discovery, protein optimization, and attribute prediction.
