The Opportunity The heart of Prellis Bio strategy is the combination of novel, cutting edge methods in machine learning, biology at scale and next‑gen antibody discovery that address key bottlenecks in the drug development pipeline. To accomplish that, we are putting together an incredible team of discovery biologists, computational scientists, and protein scientists who want to make a difference to this important problem. In this role, you will spend time identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. This involves conducting market research and analysis to identify potential target markets, customers, and partnerships. You will actively seek out new collaborations, licensing agreements, and strategic alliances to expand the company’s product portfolio and market research. You will report to the COO and can work a hybrid schedule at our headquarters in Berkeley, CA.
Responsibilities
Search and evaluate new business development opportunities including out‑licensing, sponsored research agreements, joint ventures etc.
Work closely with our research team, including reading scientific papers and clinical results, in order to generate ideas and actionable insights into the therapeutic areas for future multispecific drug programs
Work with business development to execute on partnering agreements to out‑license assets or in‑license technology to improve our platform.
Take on and lead operational projects to improve efficiency across functions
Work regularly on materials for Board meetings and investors
About You
Background in life sciences (Bachelor’s) at a minimum.
4 years of Pharma or related academic experience
Disease or platform related experience
At least 2 years of consulting experience (can be as part of internal function of a large company)
Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
High and positive energy
Travel Commitment Conferences 2–4 times/year
