Job Description TD Securities is a leading investment‑banking franchise with offices across North America, Canada and Europe. The Financial Sponsors Group (FSG) provides coverage to private equity, infrastructure, pension and sovereign wealth funds. As VP, you will support deal teams in capital markets, corporate finance and M&A, helping deliver advisory and execution services worldwide.

Group Description FSG offers:

Leveraged buyouts, sell‑side and buy‑side M&A mandates

Financing and debt advisory mandates

Common, preferred and structured equity solutions

Financial restructuring and related transactions

Position Vice President in the Financial Sponsors Group, San Francisco, CA, supporting large‑cap, tech‑focused sponsors.

Responsibilities

Develop transaction ideas and discuss context with senior coverage team members.

Create revenue across all product areas and execute transactions.

Demonstrate relevant market, industry and product knowledge.

Structure and deliver high‑impact presentations.

Maintain client relationships and keep them informed as deals progress.

Keep senior M&A and coverage officers informed of deal progress and emerging issues.

Execute deals and contribute to revenue growth.

Promote a respectful workplace aligned with TD Bank policies and guidelines.

Maintain confidentiality of client information.

Provide expertise and support to senior coverage team members in transaction execution and deal structuring.

Develop recommendations, structure presentations and manage deals, escalating issues as required.

Act as a specialist for sponsor tech portfolios, requiring deep industry knowledge.

Lead and develop junior staff through training and mentorship.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.

Series 79 and 63 licenses.

Experience on a Financial Sponsors team, Technology/Software coverage, or Tech Leveraged Finance.

5–7 years of related experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong work ethic and high attention to detail.

Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities and work effectively in a team setting.

Strong analytical and quantitative skills with experience in comparable company, precedent transaction, DCF, merger and LBO analysis.

Commitment to leadership and integrity with capacity to build internal and external relationships.
