Responsibilities
Surgical management of heart failure, cardiac transplantation, mechanical circulatory support, aortic and coronary artery surgery, surgical and transcatheter management of valvular disease.
Teaching residents and students.
Conducting research commensurate with academic rank.
Demonstrated commitment to the educational mission and teamwork across a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Academic experience in clinical outcomes, quality and safety, health services, education, ethics, or informatics.
Clinical expertise in heart failure, transplant, or minimally invasive approaches.
Team-oriented and able to interact well with colleagues inside and outside the Division.
Minimum Education And Experience Requirements MD, Board Certified or Board Eligible Cardiac Surgeon. A minimum of 5 years experience as an academic surgeon are required.
Physical/Mental Requirements Not applicable.
Campus Security Authority Responsibilities This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority in accordance with the Clery Act. This position will be required to report Clery crimes to the Clery Compliance Manager and complete annual training about reporting responsibilities.
