Operations Specialist – Revenue Analyst (Billing Analyst)

We are looking for a highly organized, detail‑oriented analyst to support our billing operations, ensuring accurate metering and billing for a diverse customer base while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Responsibilities

Perform customer account structuring, metering, and billing functions with assistance. Issue billing and metering corrections and adjustments within required timeframes for demand, non‑demand, residential, and time‑of‑use accounts. Analyze customer account structures, receivables, and billing calculations to ensure accurate revenue reporting. Retrieve relevant data and verify compliance with all regulatory requirements. Identify system problems and data irregularities that result from billing or metering processes. Learn new technologies to ensure proper data flows to various systems. Communicate with leads, supervisors, internal and external customers to resolve discrepancies. Contribute to the preparation of daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports and departmental files. Assist in updating, analyzing, and reconciling accounting, billing, and metering controls. Collaborate within your job classification to ensure proper processing and structuring of customer accounts. Actively participate in cross‑functional departmental work groups and perform assigned projects. Perform general administrative duties such as ordering supplies and sorting mail. Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED. Associate college degree or equivalent work experience. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Ability to effectively communicate with the general public and supervisory staff via telephone, in writing, and person‑to‑person. Proficiency in applying mathematical skills necessary to compute customer bills. Capability to work extended shifts, weekends, various work locations, and 24‑hour emergency call‑out with little or no prior notice. Demonstrated ability to access, navigate, and retrieve relevant information from intranet and internet sites. Demonstrated ability to operate widely used productivity and intranet‑based systems. Ability to read, write, and speak English. Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and instruct lower‑classified employees. Preferred Qualifications

Experience using PowerPoint. Experience using Microsoft Access. Working knowledge of Customer Information Billing systems. Physical Requirements

Ability to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time. Ability to input data into the computer for prolonged periods of time. Ability to communicate clearly and comprehensibly. Compensation & Benefits
