When it comes to learning science, you've gone beyond exploration—you've created something tangible, delivered measurable results, and earned the credibility to present your work publicly. If this describes your experience, 2 Hour Learning seeks its academic leader. At 2 Hour Learning, we have developed a system in which students achieve learning outcomes twice as quickly within two hours per day. The model relies on AI-driven tutoring, mastery-based learning pathways, and a fundamental redesign of traditional classroom norms. The results speak for themselves. We now seek a leader capable of aligning execution across varied school implementations, elevating academic leadership standards, and serving as the public advocate for a model rooted in evidence-based learning science. This role is not theoretical. It is a leadership imperative. You will own the academic strategy in execution, establish clear benchmarks, surface implementation challenges, and guide high-performing teams toward measurable outcomes. You will operationalize our scientific underpinnings into disciplined practice and champion this approach on a global scale.
What You Will Be Doing
Develop academic frameworks that convert learning science principles into actionable direction for curriculum design, student motivation systems, and application architecture.
Conduct academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure consistency, accountability, and impact across school teams.
Analyze data, conduct interviews, and perform direct observation to produce academic ecosystem assessments that identify the most critical obstacles to accelerated learning and recommend targeted solutions.
Ensure strategic coherence through structured planning, continuous feedback, and milestone management to sustain focus on student learning objectives.
Serve as 2 Hour Learning's representative in high-profile settings, including keynote presentations and discussions with Ministries of Education, to advance systemic reform in global education.

Engaging in narrow curriculum adjustments that fail to produce system-wide impact.
Producing theoretical research disconnected from student outcomes or operational reality.
Transferring accountability for performance to mid-level managers or external consultants.
Depending on credentials or academic frameworks alone to convince skeptical audiences.
Director Of Learning Science Key Responsibilities Expand and strengthen 2 Hour Learning's validated academic model by aligning execution across all school implementations, raising leadership performance standards, and serving as the authoritative public advocate for a movement built on rigorous science and demonstrated results.
Basic Requirements
Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field
7+ years leading academic or EdTech teams with evidence of exceptional learning outcomes
Proven experience applying AI or technology to accelerate learning
Track record of public thought leadership such as media, keynotes, books, or advising
Strong performance management skills with the ability to hold elite peers to a high bar
Fluent in interpreting data to diagnose learning issues and direct interventions
Comfortable engaging directly with students, parents, and school leaders
Nice-to-have Requirements
Founded or led an innovative school model, lab school, or high-performing EdTech venture
Experience navigating cultural, political, or international education contexts
Deep familiarity with Bloom's 2 Sigma research and other mastery learning frameworks

The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
