for a contract role for with our client in Austin, TX.
***HYBRID – ONLY CANDIDATES CURRENTLY RESIDING IN THE AUSTIN, TX AREA WILL BE CONSIDERED***
Position is Hybrid and will be 2 days remote with 3 days (Mon, Wed, Thur) required to be onsite
at 701 W. 51st, Austin, Texas 78751

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system: Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be; summarized, and formats for reports. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program. Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.
Network Architect to lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and resilient network architectures supporting cloud transformation initiatives for the TEDS project. This role requires deep expertise in hybrid networking strategies, ensuring seamless integration between on-premises environments and cloud-native services.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and implement hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity patterns to integrate existing on-prem data center networks with AWS services.
Design secure, high-performance network architectures that meet compliance, governance, and business continuity requirements.
Collaborate with cloud, security, and infrastructure teams to enable seamless migrations and optimize network operations.
Establish network governance standards and best practices to support long-term growth and evolving enterprise needs.
Ensure routing, segmentation, and security policies are aligned with enterprise architecture principles.
Drive high availability and disaster recovery strategies for mission-critical workloads.
CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
8 years
Required – Extensive experience in network architecture across AWS and on-premises environments.
8 years
Required – Strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), network segmentation, and firewall technologies.
8 years
Required – Hands-on experience with hybrid connectivity solutions (VPN, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway).
8 years
Required – Expertise in network security principles, including encryption, identity, and compliance frameworks.
8 years
Required – Proficiency in high availability design, load balancing, and failover strategies.
8 years
Required – Familiarity with network automation tools (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD integration for infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
8 years
Preferred – Experience with multi-cloud networking (Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and cloud-native networking services.
8 years
Preferred – Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture and advanced security models.
8 years
Preferred – Exposure to SD-WAN technologies and network observability tools (NetFlow, CloudWatch, Prometheus).

Preferred – Understanding of cost optimization strategies for cloud networking.
