Hardware Engineer – End of Line Engineer
Join DoorDash Labs as an End of Line Engineer working on autonomous delivery robots from the ground up. You will play a critical role in scaling the production of our next‑generation autonomous delivery robots.

About The Role This role is based in San Francisco and requires 3‑5 days a week in‑office. You will work with our Hardware team and visit production facilities around the Bay Area.
Responsibilities
Be part of an exciting effort to develop and manufacture an autonomous delivery robot
Reduce the time required to validate the robot assembly process while increasing quality control coverage
Create scripts, test equipment, and tooling used to enable rapid end‑of‑line checks
Vendorize existing test processes to allow assembly workforce scaling
Work with leaders and engineers across Design, Manufacturing, and Testing to incorporate changes to the design and assembly processes
Qualifications
B.S., M.S., or PhD in engineering (robotics, mechanical, electrical, or computer science)
5‑8 years of industry experience working in manufacturing quality control
Experience bringing up and calibrating sensing or compute systems, high voltage powertrains, and communication networks
Hands‑on experience with CAN bus, Ethernet data logging, and network analysis tools
Experience with Linux scripting and test automation
A working understanding of vehicle mechanicals and electronics
An interest in or working knowledge of autonomous vehicle perception systems
Compensation Base salary falls within $134,000—$197,000 USD, with opportunities for equity grants. Compensation is localized according to work location and may be adjusted in the future.
