Hardware Engineer – End of Line Engineer
Join DoorDash Labs as an End of Line Engineer working on autonomous delivery robots from the ground up. You will play a critical role in scaling the production of our next‑generation autonomous delivery robots.

About The Role
This role is based in San Francisco and requires 3‑5 days a week in‑office. You will work with our Hardware team and visit production facilities around the Bay Area.
Responsibilities
- Be part of an exciting effort to develop and manufacture an autonomous delivery robot
- Reduce the time required to validate the robot assembly process while increasing quality control coverage
- Create scripts, test equipment, and tooling used to enable rapid end‑of‑line checks
- Vendorize existing test processes to allow assembly workforce scaling
- Work with leaders and engineers across Design, Manufacturing, and Testing to incorporate changes to the design and assembly processes
Qualifications
- B.S., M.S., or PhD in engineering (robotics, mechanical, electrical, or computer science)
- 5‑8 years of industry experience working in manufacturing quality control
- Experience bringing up and calibrating sensing or compute systems, high voltage powertrains, and communication networks
- Hands‑on experience with CAN bus, Ethernet data logging, and network analysis tools
- Experience with Linux scripting and test automation
- A working understanding of vehicle mechanicals and electronics
- An interest in or working knowledge of autonomous vehicle perception systems
Compensation
Base salary falls within $134,000—$197,000 USD, with opportunities for equity grants. Compensation is localized according to work location and may be adjusted in the future.
