Job Description The Assistant Manager at The Golf Mart promotes and maintains a store culture consistent with Worldwide Golf’s values, including the “Sure No Problem” philosophy, which places the customer first.
Responsibilities
Maintain strong knowledge of all golf products and ensure employees can educate customers.
Control shrink and expenses while ensuring adequate stock, signing, and brand presentation.
Implement visual merchandising programs and maintain floor moves, merchandising and display.
Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures through regular meetings, walk‑throughs and audits.
Monitor company communication tools daily and adjust schedule to meet workload.
Act as a Golf Mart brand ambassador in the local community, forming external relationships in the golf industry.
Respond to negative customer experiences by de‑escalating and making things right, using feedback to coach staff.
Help employees grow their career and golf skill set by identifying opportunities for growth.
Recognize and suggest process improvements.
Qualifications Desired
2+ years of retail management or experience in the golf industry.
Strong golf background preferred, but not required if extensive retail management experience.
Requirements
Working knowledge of POS register system and word‑processing, spreadsheet, inventory, Internet and order processing systems.
Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret business reports, correspondence and procedures, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions and percentages.
Physical ability to freely access all areas of the store, lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
Willingness to work varied hours/days as business dictates.

Pay Range
$55,000 - $65,000 per year, including quarterly bonuses based on store sales. Starting pay may vary by geography, experience, expertise and education/training.
