Responsibilities
Assist in the care of the surgical patient.
Handle the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure.
Have an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipate the needs of the surgeon.
Ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and be constantly vigilant for maintenance of the sterile field.
Follow instructions of Physicians and RN closely, adhering to established hospital policies related to the Operating Room.
Practice Standard Precautions at all times and maintain a safe environment in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory agencies.
Requirements / Skills
Must be ablet to scrub one of our majors of ortho, neuro, or robotics.
Must be able to push/pull/lift up to 35lbs.
Must be able to tolerate long periods of sitting, standing and/or walking.
Certified Surgical Technician required.
Education High School Graduate or GED. Graduate from an accredited program.
