A premier national complex litigation law firm seeks a Civil Litigation Defense Associate with 6+ months litigation experience to join our dynamic team.
Salary $110,000 - $165,000 per year
Location National City, CA
Employment Type Full-time, Entry level
Responsibilities
Diverse caseload including product liability, fire and explosion, insurance defense, and other high‑stakes matters
Develop case strategies and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs
Take and defend depositions, manage discovery, and prepare for trial
Represent clients at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as needed
Qualifications
6+ months of civil litigation experience (transferable skills from other areas welcome)
Strong litigation abilities including legal research, writing, and oral advocacy
Proactive, results‑oriented approach with excellent organizational skills
Commitment to delivering exceptional client service
Ability to work collaboratively while managing own caseload
