$150,000.00/yr - $165,000.00/yr Renowned Recruitment Group is partnering with a premier construction company seeking a full time Controller. This person will oversee all accounting operations for a growing construction organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, rigorous job costing, and strong internal controls. This role requires deep experience in construction accounting, including WIP reporting, cost analysis, and project‑level financial oversight. This position is ideal for a hands‑on leader with strong technical accounting skills, a firm understanding of GAAP, and the ability to support both day‑to‑day operations and strategic financial decisions. A CPA is strongly preferred. Duties/Responsibilities

Direct all aspects of accounting operations, overseeing all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, and financial reporting. Ensure that records are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Analyze company's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance with budgets. Issue regular status and ad hoc reports to senior management. Analyze profit and loss for various business units – Interior Design, Architecture, Construction and Cabinets. Develop and coordinate all relationships with lending/financial institutions. Assist management in financial planning and results management. Work with other team members to understand revenue and cost drivers and define appropriate reports for tracking. Coordinate, prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Manage relationships with insurance providers and ensure compliance. Manage all tax planning and compliance with all required federal, state, local, payroll, property and other applicable taxes. Forecast and manage cash flow. Required Skills

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Experience in a construction or manufacturing business with activity‑based project costing Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines. Ability to work without direct supervision, and efficiently manage tasks. Computer literate with construction industry specific software Must be familiar with the Construction Industry and have experience with project cost reporting, WIP - work in progress reporting, and equipment cost reporting Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business. CPA preferred 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or relevant industry Seniority level
