Marketing Development Representative (Hybrid – San Jose, CA)

San Jose, CA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday)

Role Overview We are seeking a
Marketing Development Representative (MDR)
to support a Growth Marketing team by closing near‑term execution gaps across field event recruitment, account‑based marketing (ABM), and marketing operations analytics. This role partners closely with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure programs execute smoothly, risks are surfaced early, and follow‑through happens efficiently.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, data‑driven, proactive, and comfortable working across multiple workstreams. This is a hands‑on execution role with high visibility and strong potential for future full‑time conversion.
Key Responsibilities Field Event Recruitment
Own recruitment execution for priority field and partner events to drive qualified registrations and attendance.
Partner with Sales, Field Events, and Marketing teams to align on target audience profiles and outreach strategy.
Execute outreach using phone and email via Outreach, following established recruitment processes.
Track and report on recruitment funnel metrics (invitations, registrations, confirmations, attendance).
Identify risks early and recommend optimizations to improve show rates and overall event performance.
Account‑Based Marketing (ABM) Support
Collaborate with ABM stakeholders to align outreach strategies and share account‑level insights.
Monitor engagement trends across target accounts spanning multiple ABM plays.
Surface insights and recommend next steps to accelerate engagement and pipeline growth.
Draft email copy or call scripts to support recommended actions for Sales owners.
Execute targeted outreach when needed to drive account engagement.
Support list hygiene and manage contact and account data imports to ensure data accuracy.
MQL Analysis & Operations Support
Partner with the hiring manager to monitor MQL performance trends.
Investigate and support resolution of MQL routing and operational issues.
Drive cross‑functional follow‑through with Marketing Ops, Sales Ops, and other stakeholders.
Provide clear, timely updates to keep stakeholders informed and aligned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2–4 years of experience in growth marketing, marketing operations, sales development, or a related role.
2+ years of experience in marketing, sales development/BDR, or similar functions.
Hands‑on experience with the following tools: 6sense.
Experience supporting field events, ABM programs, or account engagement strategies.
Strong organizational, project management, and time‑management skills.
Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
Data‑driven mindset with the ability to analyze trends and adapt execution accordingly.
Must be located in or near San Jose, CA and able to work a hybrid schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
Background in Sales Development with strong alignment to Marketing, or Marketing roles with close Sales partnership.
Experience in B2B or Financial Services environments.
Additional Information
This role is intended to remain local to San Jose, CA.
No relocation assistance or visa sponsorship is available.
While this is not currently a contract‑to‑hire role, there is potential for future full‑time conversion based on performance and business needs.
