Job Description:

• The Patient Services Representative I represents the face of the company to patients visiting for routine health needs or critical health decisions.
• This role is responsible for drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while following established procedures.
• The role requires direct patient interaction, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence, and demonstrating leadership behaviors with a strong focus on confidentiality, accuracy, and process excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
• Maintain a safe and professional work environment.
• Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established procedures.
• Prepare specimens for laboratory testing according to guidelines.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Requirement/Must Have:

• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Flexible availability based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

Experience:

• Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required.
• One or more years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard and data entry experience required.

Qualification And Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred and required in certain states.
