Job Description:

• The Patient Services Representative I serves as the primary point of contact for patients seeking routine care or health-related insights.
• This role involves drawing blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring all procedures are performed safely, accurately, and in compliance with established practices.
• The Phlebotomist I maintains patient trust, confidentiality, and quality standards while supporting the operational needs of the laboratory.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment.
• Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing according to established procedures.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Promote a positive and professional image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Requirement/Must Have:

• Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as required.

Experience:

• Minimum of 6 months experience performing phlebotomy.
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboarding and data entry experience.

Skills:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Qualification And Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
