The Bedford-Stuyvesant Family Health Center (BSFHC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center that serves all primary health care needs of families in North and Central Brooklyn. We are seeking a Healthcare Operations Project Manager to join our team. The Operations Project Manager oversees project execution, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, timely delivery, and budget adherence while coordinating cross‑functional teams. The Project Manager leads strategic and operational project integrity initiatives within our healthcare organization, embodies a proactive, detail‑oriented approach, and manages business projects related to healthcare initiatives and the integration of technological solutions that support these functions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Planning and Execution:
Develop detailed project plans, define scopes, set deadlines, and ensure timely delivery of all projects, particularly those involving healthcare.
Resource Management:
Allocate resources effectively, manage budgets, and monitor expenses to maximize ROI.
Scheduling & Budget:
Develop project schedules, track progress, monitor budgets, and manage timelines.
Team Coordination and Management:
Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders, address issues, and manage teams/departments as assigned.
Performance Monitoring:
Track progress, prepare status reports, and present findings to senior management.
Risk & Issue Management:
Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate issues to senior leadership or technical teams.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices to improve project efficiency.
Communication:
Provide regular updates to sponsors, stakeholders, and team members; maintain clear documentation and status reports.
Quality & Compliance:
Ensure outcomes comply with HIPAA/HITRUST, IT security policies, and internal quality standards.
Tracking & Documentation:
Monitor schedules and document outcomes and requirements to assure regulatory and internal compliance.
Qualifications and Education
Education: A bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, engineering, or a related field is typically required. A master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.
Experience: 3+ years of experience in healthcare project management and operations with a proven track record of leading cross‑functional teams.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management tools, data analysis software, and systems.
Skills
Strong collaborative and communication skills; ability to work in a fast‑paced setting, addressing a variety of tasks and individual administrative needs.
High level of accountability and initiative; needs to be a self‑starter and eager to do team work to support the organization as a whole.
Excellent interpersonal skills must demonstrate professionalism, courteous and respectful attitude in dealing with patients, team members, families and significant others.
Display courtesy, tact and patience with all members of the team members and extended community.
Benefits Overview We offer attractive compensation with comprehensive benefits including Profit Sharing Plan, Medical, 401(k), and Long‑Term Disability, Transportation Plan, Generous Paid Vacations and Holidays. Salary – $65,000 – $70,000 based on experience.
